The holidays are over, or perhaps they're still to come? How about a quick getaway to mountainous Tyrol, with a stopover in elegant Venice? And to take you there we present the music of ingenious composers Philip Glass and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

Having enjoyed graceful classical music opuses, you'll be prepared for some contemplation, immersed in Philip Glass' Tirol Concerto for Piano – a beguiling work of astounding beauty. Its effect is akin to an avalanche of emotions, sweeping down from the snowy peaks of the Alps. But if for some reason you're not transported to the picturesque landscapes of Austria, as soon as you hear the theme of the second part of the concerto, you're certain to recall the film The Truman Show.

“Philip Glass is one of the few contemporary composers whose music can be heard in rock clubs and concert halls alike. This is a creator who blurs the stylistic boundaries, which is also very close to my own artistic philosophy. That's why I am so pleased to be able to connect with his work. Especially since I'll be doing so with the highly experienced St Christopher Chamber Orchestra, distinguished for its mastery and universality”, said the soloist Ieva Dūdaitė, sharing her thoughts about the upcoming performance.

Enjoy the rhythm, harmony and consonance immersing you into a mesmerising musical trance.

Programme features Philip Glass, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
