Downwind is an album inspired by different tastes of the world: from exotic Myanmar to the quiet streets of Vilnius. From northern jazz to passionate Columbia. Each work is like a short film about the twists and turns of life, and passing time.
The saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist Remis Rančys does not seek to shock or awe with his work, quite the contrary – he talks about and plays light things. According to musician Domantas Razauskas, “Downwind is not just any old collection of melodies, but a shot of sunlight and joy, something that can become vitally necessary”.
So come and replenish your positivity, and release yourself downwind after your summer dreams!
