MILOŠ KARADAGLIĆ (guitar, United Kingdom/Montenegro)

A Classic BRIT Awards laureate and the “hottest guitarist in the world” (The Sunday Times) will grace the Christopher Summer Festival program.
Miloš Karadaglić fell in love with the guitar the first time he heard it when he was still a child. Aged seventeen, he began studying at the Royal Academy of Music in London. At the time, this move was akin to going to Mars. But it was worth it. In one night, immediately after the release of his debut album Mediterráneo (2011), the performer became a “classical music hero” (The Telegraph).
These days critics really need to roll up their sleeves in their ongoing search for new epithets to describe the awesome musicality of Miloš. Millions around the world admire his combination of rock star charisma and classical elegance. Gregory Porter, Steven Isserlis and Anoushka Shankar are but a few of his impressive stage partners.

We are certain that after experiencing this concert, you too will stop to think why you hadn’t discovered classical guitar earlier?

Program features J. Dowland, R. Gerhard, I. Albeniz, H. Villa-Lobos
